After assigning static ip, eth0 wont start on startup

Post by mushy366 »

Hi,

I assigned my computer a static IP and removed network-manager. Now i have a slight problem. When i boot my pc, i have no network connectivity. I have to do a sudo ifup eth0 everytime to get it working.
Which isnt much, but if im trying to reboot it remotely this would be a problem. How can i fix this so that eth0 gets the static ip and runs automatically.

We need more information on how you configured your network connection. For example, if you edited the /etc/network/interfaces file then post it in a reply here so we can see what you did.
