I use Linux Mint 14 32-bit and MATE 1.4. My system has two users, each with a password. It is set up to prompt for a password once the screen-saver is active or if the system was suspended.
When I have to log back in after a screen-saver or suspend, it prompts me for a password, business as usual. But when I enter this password, it is always rejected and it asks me to enter it again. It does not matter how many times I re-enter my password -- the password is never accepted this way. If I click on "Switch User" and enter my user ID then enter my password, then it always works. It does not matter whether I am actually switching users, I always have to click "Switch User" to successfully log back in regardless. This problem exists for both users on my system.
This is how I have to log back in, but it is inconvenient because it requires two extra steps. How can I fix this problem? It did not used to do this, but started doing it some time when I had Linux Mint 13 with MATE running. Installing Linux Mint 14 did not change anything, but I was hoping it would.

Re: Logging back in after suspend problem
I need to bump this. I appear to be the only person with this problem?
