How to install Hamachi for Linux

Postby mwpowellhtx on Sat Dec 01, 2012 10:34 pm

Hello,

Has anyone else tried this? I want to install Hamachi+Haguichi for Linux.

I've found a couple of sites with very (VERY) minimal instructions, I've been able to download the Hamachi deb, for instance, and found that Hamachi has literally a TON of dependencies that I've got to traverse before I can think about installing Hamachi itself.

I'm a Linux newbie, not put off by the complexity, call me jaded Microsoft lad if you want, but my Lord, it could be a little easier.

Is there an easier way to package this? Is there something available through apt-get, for instance, yet?

I am running Linux Mint 14 (Cinnamon).

Best regards,

Michael

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

I just tried from the compressed package, sudo ./install.sh, and even that tells me "LogMeIn Hamachi needs lsb package", which it's a labyrinth of dependency hell after that...

Okay, so being the newbie to Linux that I am...

You can do: sudo apt-get -f install once you've discovered you've got unmet dependencies.
