[Solved] What Speed Is My Network Card?

Postby WhatUsernameIsFree? on Sat Dec 01, 2012 2:54 pm

Hi all,

I've got a network card plugged into a gigabit switch. How can I tell how fast my network card is please? 10/100/1000 etc? :)

Thanks

In a Terminal window, try the command

Code: Select all
sudo lshw -class network

The adapter speed should be displayed as either "size" or "capacity" (or maybe both).
