Device USB2.0-CRW (Generic) consumes lots of energy

Postby frisbee on Sun Dec 02, 2012 7:21 am

After upgrading to Nadia, on my UX32VD the device "USB2.0-CRW (Generic)" consumes around 9 Watt according to powertop (more than half of the total energy consumption). This was not the case in Maya but I don't know what exactly has changed.

According to information on the web, this device is the card reader. I would be happy to disable it altogether but didn't managed to do this yet. Any hints?

According to lsusb it should be device 003 on bus 001.
