No Intel-Sound Nadia (Thinkpad)

Post by thorgas »

Hi Linux Mint Community, it's nice to be here for the first time. Looking foreward to some questions being answered, I first start with one myself.

lspci | grep Audio prints:

Code: Select all

00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 7 Series/C210 Series Chipset Family High Definition Audio Controller (rev 04)
and the audio settings say "internal audio analog stereo".

I can hear the sound after entering my user credentials but playing music/youtube/speaker test doesn't work.

If you need more information, tell me how to get them :)

Thank you, Thorgas.

PS: Wasn't able to test headphones.

EDIT: My model is the ThinkPad X230i.

Step one. audiosettings: hardware: internal audio analog stereo >close audiosettings: High Definition Audio Controller: Digital Stereo
Step two
Terminal> alsamixer >then open the controls you want.

but maybe you need only step two.
It's only a trial, because i have other hardware, but I hope this will work.

Awesome, I just needed to execute step 2.

The alsamixer GUI - that I already tried - didn't show that automute is enabled, the terminal version did. :-/

Thank you a lot.
