Autorun Teamviewer 7 on login

Post by redwizard000 »

Hello, I am building a server using Linux Mint and this machine is going to be completely unattended. I need TV7 to start up on login automatically in case the machine is restarted for some reason.

I am kind of new to Linux.

Teamviewer has already been installed.

I am running Linux Mint with Cinnamon

I googled the problem and found a page saying to enter the commands into a script /ect/rc.local so I opened it and put in "bash /opt/teamviewer/teamviewer/7/bin/teamviewer"
The script launches teamviewer if I run it manually but it doesn't do anything on start up.

Can someone tell me the proper way to set this up?

Thanks,

-RW

If you go to control centre, startup applications you can add teamviewer to start at start up. Just put Teamviewer as the description and the
command as teamviewer. That is it, it should be selected by default and when you restart the machine it will start automatically.

That's done it.

Thanks, I figured it was something simple.
