Broken panel

Post by heiowge »

Last session I did an update and changed the theme. That's it. Oh, and checked Google+, but I don't think that could cause this:

As you can see, the left side of my panel is fine, but the right hand side has resized all my icons and made some disappear off the screen!

Any ideas / help?

Ta

Oh, and I tried changing the theme and icon set back. No change. I also tried rebooting. Currently switched back to KDE until I can get a fix or do a reinstall... :(

Thanks. The fix on that post worked a treat.

Any idea why it flipped like that?

Don't know ... :?
Seems the update somehow conflicts with the chosen theme. :?:

I was trying to find this before ... a possible explanation of the problem from bimsebasse in this thread:
http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.p ... 5&p=652114
It's a theme bug not a cinnamon bug - themes need to define font-size under #panel and the glass theme doesn't, even though the theme it was ripped off from (Ambiance) does. You can get around it in Cinnamon Settings but that's not necessary if font-size is set properly.
It appears that some themes may not have this font-size setting right. :?
