VMware View Client

Hello,
I've been a mint user for a few years now. Still learning things all the time, still mostly GUI based, but I can do terminal without breaking things (usually).
The big thing missing (which is kindof a problem) is the VMware View client. I'd found one guy who more or less faked the system into installing it once (there's a package for Ubuntu, but no downstream for Mint), but I couldn't get it to work for an update and don't know enough to figure it out myself.

Any plans to include a package (maybe even a ppa) for Mint? Is that even possible, or do you have to convince VMware?
