upgrading from 13 to 14

Postby kjomara on Tue Dec 04, 2012 10:37 am

When I upgrade to a new windows version eg. xp to windows 7, I just install the upgrade package and all my applications are there and ready to go. Linux Mint doesn't seem to have an upgrade where it installs over your old version and leaves all you applications intact. It only seems to have an install where it installs the new version and you have to reinstall all your applications. Or, am I missing something?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

No, you are not missing anything, that is the way the Mint developers think is best. And I guess that is the way it will stay.
