Screen Lock issue

I'm using Linux Mint 14 with the latest Cinnamon desktop. All files are up-to-date. My problem is that no matter what I do, I can not get the screen to lock like it's supposed to after the screen shuts off. Whenever I move my mouse, the desktop just comes right up without it having been locked. Is there a setting I'm missing?

I tried to lock the PC with the lock button on the Cinnamon Main Menu, but it did nothing at all. Don't know if that will help with a diagnosis or not.

Nevermind, I saw that it's a bug with either Gnome 3.6 or Cinnamon. Installing gnome-screensaver at least lets you use ctrl-alt-l to lock the screen.
