Maya, MATE, Compiz, Window Roll up?[SOLVED]
I am running Linux Mint 13 MATE 32 bit with Compiz replacing Marco as the default window manager. Everything is perfect except, I can't figure out how achieve window roll up on double click of the title bar. It's the only thing I am missing and, it is sorely missed! As it stands now, All double clicking on the title bar does is expand the window to full screen. Any solutions? Thanks.

Use Ubuntu tweak to do this. You should have option in the Tweaks tab, Window button.
See here (search for 'allows you to customize window title bar options' on the page):

There should be a 'Roll Up' selection in the combobox.

I see no "window" option anywhere in the ubuntu tweak tweaks tab.AJ1000 wrote:Use Ubuntu tweak to do this. You should have option in the Tweaks tab, Window button.

I found this in Compiz's animation settings but, selecting it had zero effect.

Re: Maya, MATE, Compiz, Window Roll up?
Sorry, I did not know ubuntu tweak do not have those options anymore.
Roll up does not work reliably anymore as well, so maybe you should not bother, but if you want to try it, this is how.
1) Install gconf-editor.
2) Run gconf-editor
3) Go to the following node: /apps/metacity/general/action_double_click_titlebar
4) enter the value: toggle_shade
5) Rollup windows will now work, but are unreliable on my nvidia system, with it showing a blank window a lot of the time.

Strange thing - the fix for the blank window problem is to focus on another window, then the blank window refreshes correctly.
It is great it is working for you.

The system I'm currently running Mint on has Intel graphics so, I'm not experiencing your blank window issue. Possibly an nVidia issue? Hope you can get it sorted.
I for one, couldn't be happier with Mint with the MATE DE. So nice to have my good ol' Gnome 2 environment back!
