KDE CE: individual package installer

Post by ipna »

I suggest using GDebi as the standard individual package installer in KDE CE, as KPackage (the default) is unable to solve missing dependencies. As an example, try installing VirtualBox from its home page http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads and you'll know what I mean.

Cheers,

Use synaptic. It's already installed but there's no menu item for it. Type it in run command and you'll see it's there, then edit your menu to add it in. No more dependency problems.
