I cannot open cinnamon-settings. If I try from the terminal I get:
No module named gi.repository
I'm not totally clueless, but I don't really know how to fix this.
This could potentially be a python / PATH related bug.
I installed the enthought python distribution for an edX course I'm taking. It's installed in ~/enthought
Edit---
Decided to try using a new user account. cinnamon-settings opens without issue on new account.
Cinnamon Settings won't open... only as root.

I still can't figure it out. I can change cinnamon settings as root / other user, but that doesn't help me.
Really I just want to disable the 'hot corners' thing under my normal account. It drives me insane...
