Linux Mint 12 - How to boot without video

Postby mike.j.meadows on Mon Nov 05, 2012 11:09 am

Hey Guys,

this might be something simple but I can't seem to find it via search. I have a linux mint 12 box that I'd like to use as a media center. It seems to work great except when I need to reboot for whateveer reason. When I do a sudo shutdown -r now the box goes down but never comes back. When I connect to a video source and reboot it works fine. Is this reboot hang due to lack of video and is there a work around to ignore video on reboot?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers!

Mike
