CD/DVD-ROM Stopped working, don't know why.

Hi there.
Recently I've been trying to burn a cd using xfburn and all of a sudden boom since then I cannot use my dvdrom anymore, it doesnt read cds nor dvds.

Output from mount|grep ^'/dev'
/dev/sda1 on / type ext4 (rw,errors=remount-ro)
