Touchpad settings ignored

Postby dogiordano on Mon Dec 10, 2012 2:42 pm

Hello everyone, I installed Mint recently for the first time and I find it very good.
Quite everything works as it sould but I have a couple of problems. I am sorry for having not found an appropriate forum category to write this.

I'm using a Linux Mint 14 - 64bit with MATE on a HP G62 notebook.

My touchpad is not responding to a tap.
If I do a...
Code: Select all
synclient TapButton1=1 my terminal it works fine and I can left clicking by tapping the touchpad.
The problem is: after every reboot of my system the TapButton1 is set back to 0.

I thought about putting tha above script in ~/.profile but is there a more elegant solution?
Where are this settings saved?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.
