Display settings

Post by ldsilva »

Due to my asus VW193D Display, when my linux mint 14 starts, it stays displaced to the wright of the screen.Afte login this is correctec by settin the display to 1440x900 @75hz. How can I change the display settings to such resolution, from the start (drub options). Before I did it with startupManager that no longer works.

I have the exact same problem. I've been searching for an answer since October: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.p ... gs#p658537

Have you been able to resolve this yet?

You will need to configure your xorg.conf to make the display changes permanent. There is a good guide on the ubuntu site.

FWIW, I haven't had much luck with ASUS computers. But I love my Lenovo Thinkpad.
