hi there im trying to edit my fstab file and cant find an editor that willl let me i need SU/root priveleges is there an editor in mint im not finding that will do this ????

Have you tried gedit?
- Code: Select all
sudo gedit /etc/fstab
or in the command line there is nano:
- Code: Select all
sudo nano /etc/fstab
and vim:
- Code: Select all
sudo vim /etc/fstab
