Hey hi..... i'm parthi from india and 'm a Newbie

i had been using windows for the past 4 years without satisfication....... Cox it couldn't give the real operating system environment to me........ Then i decided to swtich into other operating systems...... so that i selected linux..... but initially i have tried various popular linux distros on my laptop..... had cpu overheating problems and other hardware realted issues..... Got pissed off with the distros... After reading the blog of Steven J. Vaughan-Nichols in ZDnet.com about the linux mint review, i tried Linux mint maya 13 on my Dell inspiron 15R....... Wow!!!!! This is th best linux distro i have ever tried on my laptop...... Ain't giving any hardware issues on the machine....

Spec:
intel core i5 with 2.5Ghz with turbo boost
RAM DDR2 4GB
Hard disk: 500GB toshiba
Graphics Card: ATI mobility radeon HD 1GB

Yep laptops can be a pain with all in one integrated chipsets. Glad you found a distro and it was Mint for you.
