I have a PC w/ 2 HDDs. I inadvertently installed Mint in the 2nd HDD.
I wanted to fix this. So I wiped out the first HDD, partitioned and formatted it and installed Mint on it.
When I try to boot into this instance I get a message saying
Server authorization directory daemon/servauthdir is set to /var/lib/mdm but is not owned by user 110 and group 118. Please correct the ownership or MDM configuration and restart MDM.
I am at a loss here. The message appears in a window with an OK button but it responds neither to mouse click nor to hitting enter. Only resort is ctrl-alt-delete. I searched on this error message but the couple of hits I saw were talking about situations when a directory is not found, not this user 110, group 118 business
I can still boot into the other instance of Mint, FWIW,
Would appreciate any assistance.
Thanks!
