Hello folks, After distro-hopping for a long time I have decided to settle down with mint, it is the best os for me hands down. Now I will have to decide between LMDE and the regular version. thanks

Welcome aboard and have fun with Linux Mint :D Deciding between Linux Mint Main Edition and LMDE is a personal choice. LMDE generally can be a little faster, though you should probably be a little more confident with Linux (especially terminal) if you are going to use LMDE.

Thanks for the warm welcome! @Vincent-I have had a little experience with terminal using crunchbang, I had planned on staying with default sources and update packs if I decided to use LMDE, I have it installed on an older distro-hopper thinkpad that I use and it runs great, I would like to try it on my ultrabook when new isos are released.
