Hello!
I am not from any software company, or anything like that. This is not critism, or anything of that nature. Linux Mint is my favorite distro.
I am asking this question out of pure curiosity, and am intrigued on how the GPL works.
When the developers made Linux Mint, did they have to get permission from pidgeon, for example, to use their software in Linux Mint?
What are the legal issues that are put upon a distro developer with including firefox, iceweasle etc with their distros?
Linux Mint have permission from software companies?

Re: Linux Mint have permission from software companies?
Have you actually read the full GPL text? It might have some useful information in there.
