Lost my Terminal Bell

Postby spunionring on Fri Dec 14, 2012 11:03 pm

Hi, I am 90% sure that my terminal played its bell normally, but now it has stopped.

I can play sounds with other software fine.

I tried installing various alternative terminal programs, but they all fail to play a bell.

And yes, I did go into preferences and make sure that the bell was enabled...

btw I'm using Mint/Cinnamon. Any help is appreciated, not having much luck searching for posts with this issue.

I haven't changed any configuration, and it's not beeping here either.
Code: Select all
echo $'About to sound bell ...\a... Did you hear it?'
