Mint on Android
I've read things here and there about people getting ubuntu to run on Android devices. I'm curious if anybody's attempted this using Mint (or Peppermint for that matter).

Re: Mint on Android
Almost all android devices run on ARM, while Linux Mint only runs on--and is compiled for--x86 and x86_64. Different processor architectures like ARM are not supported by Linux Mint, so you won't be able to run Linux Mint on it. This has been discussed before, for example here: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=73000&f=163. Ubuntu supports ARM in addition to x86 and x86_64, hence you can run Ubuntu on some tablet devices like shared here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ARM/TabletList.
Re: Mint on Android
Just a thought. I'm familiar with ARM, x86, etc -- perhaps not an expert with all the ins-and-outs, but I can do it. Was just hoping perhaps somebody made a mint-like OS for an ARM device as if I had to choose between Mint or Ubuntu, I'd take Mint.
