Hi,
I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop with an in-built FM Antennae jack. Can you please point me to an utility using which i can tune-in and listen to FM radio stations. Also, are any additional drivers required to activate hardware?

Re: FM Radio Tuner
Gnomeradio is a FM-radio tuner for the GNOME desktop.
It should work with every FM tuner card that is supported by video4linux.
Remote controls are supported via (optional) LIRC-support.
Gnomeradio can also record radio as a Wave, MP3 or Ogg files.

Re: FM Radio Tuner
Thanks Niks. I had installed Gnomeradio and another appln FM tools http://benpfaff.org/fmtools/index.html but unfortunately am getting an error that dev/mixer and dev/radio0 not found.
Have also installed LIRC but could not get to configure it as I suppose that the hardware is not getting detected by the kernle. I hope the H/W is compatible video4linux.
I have tried commands lspci and lsusb but am not able to ascertain the port maps to the Antennae jack. Any pointers there would be helpful?

Hi
I suggest you have a read of this should point you in the right direction.
My TV card has it's FM radio built in but I'm sure it all works the same way.

You can speed read it for just the info you need
and I bumped into this which may be of use as well

Re: FM Radio Tuner
Sincere apologies for getting back on this so late. I have been using my another laptop and this was gaining dust. Now, i have upgraded KDE to KDE 4.10.1 and it is all set-up for usage. I am not sure in first place - if kernel recognizes toshiba radio jack or not. How do I know if mine is supported by video4lan ?
I have also attahced dmesg output as file in case it it will provide any additional help.
I badly want this to work to prove to my brother that even in Linux I can get everything working.
