Here i sit in the uk with a 6.3 gb connection, i know that's not fast by some standards but its very good for our village [other end gets 2.5]

so I am updating M14-32 bit on granddaughters laptop a task that should take no more than 10 mins the last package [mint-mdm-theams] id 10mb and has been downloading for 45 mins it tells me it will take around another 3hs 40 mins to complete
I could download half a dozen films in the time its taking

packages.linuxmint.com is behaving bad, so switch to a LM mirror...

    In "Software Sources" ,
In the Linux Mint Software tab,
In the pulldown menu with label "Download From"
    Choose Other Server
    Click "Select Best Server"

I believe that it's because of the LMDE UP 6 with everyone trying to update. My guess is in a few days it will get better (mint could really do with more servers, but obviously that's expensive).
