Update Jnauary 19th: it was shared yesterday that both of these software portals have been discontinued permanently. Read more on the global announcement: viewtopic.php?f=143&t=123258.
It appears the websites http://www.getdeb.net/ and http://www.playdeb.net/ are down. If you try using the Update Manager or use commands like "sudo apt-get update" or "apt update" you are most likely getting errors like:
- Code: Select all
W: Failed to fetch http://archive.getdeb.net/ubuntu/dists/precise-getdeb/Release.gpg Unable to connect to archive.getdeb.net:http:
This is caused by the above websites being down.
You can either disable the GetDeb and PlayDeb repositories till these websites are up again or you can switch to a mirror. The latter is detailed in SurfaceUnits' post here: viewtopic.php?f=47&t=118809&p=656166#p656112 (thanks zerozero for the link).
If anybody has news as to what is up with these websites, kindly share here.
