Mate, I am installing LM14 + Cinnamon as I speak on an almost the same spec lappy! Let me have a look as well and I will post a reply if I found one.... BTW, you should mention the specs of your system. It helps as others with same spec might have encountered the same problem and will help you out more easily.

inxi -Fxz
