Samba Active Directory Setup DNS issues

Hello. I hope this is the right place to ask this. I have Linux Mint 14 Xfce. I am trying to install Samba4 as an Active Directory. I'm using these instructions. http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba4/HOWTO

The installation goes through fine. When I'm checking the DNS, using "host -t SRV _ldap._tcp.samdom.example.com." I get the error "_ldap._tcp.samdom.example.com has no SRV record". Also, note, that I am lazy, so I actually used "samdom.example.com" as the realm.

In the hosts, file, I have listed my IP 192.168.1.102 as the nameserver for samdom.example.com . I have updated the Resolv.conf file to include the same information. I'm using a static IP.

What am I missing?
