Hello mint users
I'm ver happy with linux but my only problem is that I can't get cubase to run on it.
And some software that I need for school. So now I'm trying to dualboot it with windows xp. If I'm not mistaking I should start by makeing a new partition but fdisk says that there are no free sectors available. And I can't make a new partition with GParted either. So if anybody knows what I need to do tell me please.

Since you,I'm assuming, used the whole disk for Linux Mint you shouldn't have any free space so what you need to do is resize that partition and create a new partition with the free space. However I would install XP first then install Linux Mint. That's is the best option since sometimes when Linux will not boot when Windows is installed after Linux:

So backup your data and follow these tutorials to install XP first then reinstall Linux Mint.

The only thing unless you plan on ungrading your OS everytime LM releases a new version I wouldn't create a boot,swap,home, / partition just choose "Install along Windows" when installing Linux Mint.
