Hi,
I recently re-installed LMDE (new hard drive) and am no longer able to install gcc.4-5 from the repos.
If I remember correctly i was able to install it directly from the repos a few months ago. I need exactly this version because I have to build a kernel module for a binary kernel that was built using gcc-4.5.
Any idea where I can get the gcc4.5 packges from? I already searched packages.debian.org but they only offer gcc-4.5 for alpha, armhf and hppa architectures.
Where did gcc-4.5 go?

Have a look on debian snapshot - there are dozens of versions on there:

Re: Where did gcc-4.5 go?
Thanks!
Any idea why it is not on packages.debian.org?
There must be some reason why they removed it.

And yes there must be. So be careful with it in case it has some horrible bug or security flaw.

the reason is here

and here
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgrepor ... debian.org
so as viking said be careful with its usage
