A question if I wanted to make a custom iso image (for only my own use) of LM 14 ala take out a few apps i dont use or need add in a few others i would like already setup is that a 'custom distro' or something else named?

Also would it be possible to add in all the current updates to the current iso image during/before install? Via the live session would save me some time i guess

anyhow I looked through this and got some info thta answered some other questions but these two were the ones remaining.

rarcher25, you are of course free to remaster the ISOs for your own use. The limitation here is that you need to ask permission before you release your remastered ISO to the world under the Mint name and branding. And if you hadn't found it yet, have a look at this tutorial for remastering the IOS: http://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/918.

Does that mean that if it wasn't named "Mint" anything I would still be able to distribute it and everything?

As long as you remove all the Mint branding, including but not limited to the name and artwork, and comply with the licenses of all the software you include then yes you can distribute your own distro based on Mint.
