Is linux geared in any way toward gaming?. I am wondering if anyone can direct
me to a site where i can get games for free or very minimal charge. My system is linux mint 14 cinnamo

There are some native games you can grab in software manager, some windows games work under wine....

However, Steam for Linux is in Beta testing now, so if all goes well, we will have a decent selection available soon

I installed Steam and I have a bunch of games installed right now. Works great too.

Steam on Linux (beta) offers a few free games (Team Fortress) and many discounts during this holiday period.
