Hi Guys,
Im a newbie. Intalled linux mint yesterday. I managed to get sound from all 6 channels but front speaker sound is coming from rear speakers. Also I get a continues humming noise from speakers. The noise does not increase when I increase the volume. Is it possible to get quality 5.1 sorround sound from linux since you never have to struggle so much to set it up in Windows. Appreciate if someone could help on this. Please let me know the info you need. The PC is connected to the Subwoofer by 3 cables. Cheers!!

Think Ill try Ubuntu before moving bk to Windows 7. If it can't give me quality sound its not the OS for me.
