Hello, first-time Mint user. I'm curious about Mate v14 - Why when I leave the mintMenu does it not reset to the Favorites display? The same is true when entering a search, the search text still remains when returning to the mintMenu.
I feel it should 'reset' just like any other OS menu out there. What's the purpose of having a beautiful Favorites menu UI when it's never displayed?

Re: mintMenu reset
As far as I remember you can right-click the menu and choose to start with the favorites.
Re: mintMenu reset
Thank you for the reply. I actually just found the setting and wanted to reply how to find it. It was driving me absolutely batty!
- Right-click the Mint Menu button > Select Preferences
On the Options tab > Select Always Start With Favorites Pane
