F.lux not actually working in Mint 14

Got f.lux cause I can't live without it. It starts with the operating system and all but doesn't actually change the screen color. is there a workaround?

Since the "official" port hasn't been updated in aeons you can try one of the forks https://github.com/Kilian/f.lux-indicat ... et/network or Redshift http://jonls.dk/redshift/ which is a different implementation of the binary (afaik).
