Two potential problems. First, I see you have dropped off the Medibuntu repository, or perhaps you didn't copy it here?

Code: Select all

deb http://packages.medibuntu.org/ quantal free non-free
Second, you have add the backports and extras repositories. Both should be fine, just be sure to mention you have Ubuntu backports enabled when running into any kind of problems. Backports shouldn't be a problem, until it is...

I didn't know about Ubuntu extras, that seems like handy thing to add (http://www.webupd8.org/2010/09/new-ubun ... s-now.html).

No, i didn't copy it here, but i will add it ofcourse. It obvious that the Medibuntu repo is needed

I never ran into any kind of issues with backport. But i'm also really careful with this repository.

Looks pretty "outdated" to me...Maverick Meerkat... Are you alright with this article??
The new Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat "Extras" (http://extras.ubuntu.com/) repository is now live. This repository will hold new post-release applications.

I just included that link to that article as it explained best what the extra repository was for. It has been available for each Ubuntu release since then. I had a look with Synaptic (select Origin "LP-PPA-app-review-board/quantal") and though there are but a few applications there--the very nice variety wallpaper changer is also there, making it worthwhile to any that are interested in that.

The site where you can create your own source list can be found here: http://repogen.simplylinux.ch/
