Problem Booting Mint After Sidux Install

Post by Andy Mack »

I heard about Sidux this morning and gave it a try, when i boot into Mint now it stalls, kicks me to cmd line and I get a message about manually cleaning sda2 or something.

I was instructed to look over checkfs, this is it.

Log of fsck -C -R -A -a
Sun Mar 30 17:08:59 2008

fsck 1.40.2 (12-Jul-2007)
fsck.ext3: Unable to resolve 'UUID=e8d85874-05d6-4636-bbe5-2813af035d98'

fsck.ext3: Unable to resolve 'UUID=59a4884e-4ead-4aa9-886b-21dbee4aa549'

fsck died with exit status 8

I have to press CTRL-D to set boot up away again and login.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Andy

I previously had PCLinuxOS on there and wiped it for Sidux, I can see now why the errors would occur.

No idea on fixing it but good to have errors to learn that bit more.

Thanks

Thanks for the ego boost Fred :) but I cant take credit. I just understand why what happened happened, not how to fix it.
