Thanks zerozero for your response.
I did the mint-choose-debian-mirror thing. /etc/apt/sources list now shows:
- Code: Select all
deb http://packages.linuxmint.com/ debian main upstream import
deb http://mirror.metrocast.net/linuxmint-debian/latest testing main contrib non-free
deb http://mirror.metrocast.net/linuxmint-debian/latest/security testing/updates main contrib non-free
deb http://mirror.metrocast.net/linuxmint-debian/latest/multimedia testing main non-free
Went back to mintUpdate and did a refresh. Several packages failed to be fetched:
- Code: Select all
Failed to fetch http://packages.linuxmint.com/dists/debian/import/i18n/Translation-en_US Unable to connect to packages.linuxmint.com:http:
Failed to fetch http://packages.linuxmint.com/dists/debian/import/i18n/Translation-en Unable to connect to packages.linuxmint.com:http:

Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
I also noticed that
- Code: Select all
http://packages.linuxmint.com debian InRelease
failed, as seen when 'Show for individual files' was selected during the downloading process. However, mintUpdate indicates 'Your system is up to date'.
Where do I go from here???
