So after getting my computer and messing around with various distros have finally settled for mint.
I have been using linux for years now (my dad installed mandrake on the family PC back when I was still at primary school) so whilst I have some previous experience in linux I decided to come here in case I ever need some help, moral support or just a shoulder to cry on.
So yeah um hi.
So here I am

Hey Tell us what kind of linux mint distro you are using. I am using linux mint 14.1 with the MATE desktop.
Re: So here I am
Currently I am using mint 13 with the Mate desktop, I also have a few other desktops but I rarely use them, (installed for fun mostly)
Re: So here I am
For years my primary OS was Mandriva. I acquired a fondness of KDE also. My kids kept downloading and installing crap that would blow up their computers, so I put Linux on their machines and ended my fixit nightmares. I'm using Mint 14 KDE 64-bit now and loving it. I've been very happy with Mint since version 10.

Welcome aboard I hope Linux Mint runs smooth for you, and ... erm ... you don't need a shoulder to cry on. Come in earlier, and let us help with any problem before you're brought to tears
