Buenas, he intentado muchas veces y siguiendo los manuales que me encuentro por la red, hacer que funcione el conky, pero practicamente acabo siempre en el mismo lado que es desinstalarlo, ya que ni sale como el script y sigue saliendo en color negro a la izquierda, vamos el que es de base. Hace un tiempo use uno que se instalaba distinto usando la carpeta etc, pero ahora no lo encuentro y bueno estoy atascado, porque ademas tengo que ejecutarlo con sudo, ya que, con alt+f2 nolo ejecuta.

¿alguien sabe alguna solucion para un torpe como yo?

ya jungle_boy eso que pone en el lua ya lo hice como 7 veces y no va, se ejecuta y sigue el base en negro, asi que no encuentro la solucion.

Entendi...

Cuando usaba otra distro que tenia conky por defecto me ocurrió lo mismo...

Intente purgar por la terminal:

sudo apt-get --purge autoremove conky*
Borre ~/.lua; ~/.conky; .conkyrc

Haga una limpieza general de todo lo que sea conky

Reinicie y vea si continua el problema...

Para activar la tranaparencia tiene que activar en el fichero de configuracion la linea a yes, en mi csao por el tipo de conky el fichero esta en /etc/conky/conky.conf, en otras versiones lo tendras en la carpeta de usario ./conky/conky.rc ( el ultimo punto el de conky.rc no estoy seguro al 100% porque no uso esa version).
