well apparently the opposite it's also possible (install 64bit packages/libraries in 32bit systems)

There are two ways.
A) The old-fashioned way:
apt-get install linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64
B) The modern way:
dpkg --add-architecture amd64
apt-get install linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64:amd64
