[SOLVED] Flash or html5 issue ?

Post by fr2632 »

Hi guys,

Since a few days I am having an issue with (flash? html5?) on linux mint 14 nadia. I really have no clue what this is and how to fix it!

I will attach screenshots of youtube and html5 video test page.

Thanks!

This is my first installation of Mint and I have exactly the same problem.
Running Nadia on my HP laptop with Intel graphics.

When I installed Mint 14 few weeks ago, everything was just fine. I guess this is due to a recent update somewhere... :?

I'm getting the same issue on Youtube vids. I tried disabling Flash's Hardware Acceleration, and I checked for updates in Synaptic. Nothing seems to fix it.

Ok, I found the solution myself:

On chrome I typed:

chrome://plugins/

and disabled the following under Adobe Flash Player:

Name: Shockwave Flash
Description: Shockwave Flash 11.5 r31
Version: 11.5.31.137
Location: /opt/google/chrome/PepperFlash/libpepflashplayer.so

(you have to click on "Details" to see it)

Issue resolved :)
