I have moved from Ubuntu to Mint Maya Xfce got almost every thing working great.
The problem is a small one, I want to have the trashbin icon down in the right corner
but when I drag it to down to the right it goes back, some kind of grid or auto arange
is blocking me, so how do I turn this grid off?
Best Regards and merry christmas from Henrik

Re: Unlock desktop icons
If you right click on the desktop there should be an option to 'keep aligned." Uncheck this if you wish to be able to put them anywhere.
Re: Unlock desktop icons
I'd like to unlock my icons too, but my desktop's context menu doesn't have that command you mentioned. It has only these, in the relevant section:
Arrange Desktop Icons <--[auto-arranges them on click]
Desktop Settings... <--[opens dialog box w/no lock/unlock options]
Properties... <--[ " " ]
Is there another way to do it, or a way to add that command?
