convert LMDE to stable repos with backports?

Can someone provide me the best, recent link or tutorial on how to do this? I want to keep all Mint tools but switch to stable.

as always when this question is asked my first reaction is : why? what is wrong with the default update-packs? what problems have you had with it?

then (as was also said several times in this forum) this is the wrong timing to do that: the actual stable release is ending, the next is almost released (although there's not a date yet) and most important there's no backports and security for "wheezy stable"
