Hi I am just wondering if any of you guys could point me in the direction of a good, easy to use anti - rootkit programme for my
LTS Cinnamon 64 bit distro ... with thanks for your time and your patience...

Check the package manager for either chkrootkit or Rootkit Hunter I think one or both may be there. Good Luck

I've used chkrootkit before. I've never had a problem though, so I can't tell you how well it works.
