Mint 11 Programs spread across monitors...

I have a dual screen set up, a monitor on VGA and a TV on s-video. Most programs open in the monitor (though with some pop-up boxes on the TV, annoyingly). If I maximise a program in either the monitor or TV it fills that screen only (thankfully) but the odd program (like Teeworlds and several other games) opens spread across the 2 screens making them unusable. I couldn't locate a solution though I'm sure one must exist.

Any ideas for making programs such as Teeworlds NOT spread across both screens?
