I have been on Linux since the mid 90s starting with Fedora, switching to Ubuntu about 2 years ago. There have been many improvements over the years, and Linux really has the potential to be such an excellent operating system.
The direction Ubuntu is going is very discouraging, leading me to find another OS. Yesterday at work, I got so frustrated with Unity I downloaded Mint and installed. I am so pleased with Mint. It has everything and more of Ubuntu, without the ridiculous Unity desktop and threats of sending private data to Amazon.
Very clean OS, and feel liberated again!
I just wanted to stop by and say thank you! There is no reason this should not be the #1 distro.
THANK YOU
