When I boot, I get an error because an external hard drive is connected. I remove the HD connection and reboot the the error message is gone. I wanted to use the drive as a backup device. What do I need to do for LinuxMint Cinnamon to accept the USB connection of the drive?
Thanks...Gandalf

Re: External HD
It's a bug ignore them I do and drives operate normally.

Re: External HD
Thanks, Orbmiser, but I'm an engineer by trade and I do not like ignoring errors.
As a wizard, they can not be tolerated.
Also, the error appears before the LinuxMint Desktop appears.

Re: External HD
The error I get is...
ATA_ID[175] HDIO_GET_Identity failed for /dev/SDA Invalid Argument
Does that info help any?
The number changes with each boot.
